Tonsil stones form in cracks and holes in the tonsil and cause bad breath.
They can be permanently eradicated by partly removing the tonsil. This can be performed under local anaesthetic spray in the clinic, straight back to work afterwards. Post op soreness for around 5 days, controlled with paracetamol and ibuprofen. Eat normally. Minimal chance of bleeding.
Hi Mike, how soon after the op can we eat? And are there any foods in particular we shouldn’t eat to avoid aggravating the back of the throat post op?
The spray is the worst part. The laser feels like getting a Tattoo, a hot scratch.
My 15 minute procedure was followed up by a trip on the London Eye, 4 pints of beer and lamb madras. All on the same day. No complications and 7 days later I would say that everything feels back to normal.
