Throat clearing
This is a long, thick uvula, the hanging down structure at the back of the throat. It's is pointing forward on the back of the tongue, making the patient feel there is something there, and causing them to repeatedly clear their throat. Treatment is by laser uvulectomy in clinic under local anaesthetic.
