Lump of lingual tonsil tissue at the back of the tongue - a cause of snoring

This patient presented with a lump feeling in the lower back of the tongue, just above the voice box. It was causing snoring. Examination shows the above. A large midline mass. An MRI scan showed it was benign lymphoid tissue. Symptoms had been present for years, so it was felt that observation rather than intervention was the sensible approach.

Hi Mike it would seem a pharyngeal pouch is not something you deal with or have dealt with in the past? So I am assuming you are unable to help me? Best wishes Alison
