This is a long and wide bulky uvula. It sits at the back of the mouth. One like this will cause partial blockage of the airway behind the tongue, snoring, and possible lump sensation behind the tongue. It can usually be quickly removed using a local anaesthetic laser procedure in clinic. It is not missed. Painful afterwards for 7-10 days.
Very effective in treating snoring etc.
