Basically you could write a book on this, and I am! However it mostly boils down to a bad bacterial population growith in the oropharyngeal biome - the natural and huge population of bacteria in our mouth and throat. Bad bacteria produce smelly sulphurous compounds as part of their metabolism, they thrive in old and decaying material such as food, which often gets trapped in the gaps between the teeth or holes and crevices in the tonsils. Treatment can be by removal of these holes and cracks (laser tonsil resurfacing under local anaesthetic spray) or adjusting the natural bacterial population (milder cases) with mouthwashes such as Pre-Bio (see Pre-Bio com).
